For nature lovers, we can recommend a walk through the gorge of Kaliani (or the gorge of Dimosari). You can start your descent from Ohi Mountain, at an altitude of 1390 metres, and finish the trip at the beautiful beach of Kaliani, famous for its crystal clear Aegean waters. The total distance is about 10 km. The starting point, at Ohi summit, is about 35 km away. If history and archaeology are among your interests, you can visit the archaeological museums of Chalkida (the island’s capital) and Eretria. A final recommendation would be a visit to the Dragon Houses. These structures, cloaked with layers of mystery and admiration, are still a wonder to archaeologists nowadays. The easiest one to visit is close to Styra village, about 28 km away.
