Area information

The hotel is located close to the resorts of Kühlungsborn and Rerik. It offers beautiful rural surroundings and provides the ideal starting point for a variety of excursions. Discover the beautiful coastline by bicycle, or cool down in Germany's northernmost mountain range with its unspoiled forests. In addition, beginning 600 metres away from our hotel, Germany’s low and most northern mountain range, Kühlungs, stretches eastwards and can be reached easily. It also takes just a short bike ride to reach the sandy beach in the conservation area of Riedensee near Kägsdorf. An absolute must during your stay is a ride on the historic MOLLI - a light railway service which connects the coastal resorts throughout the year. We recommend you combine this with a trip to the cathedral in Bad Doberan. Day trips to the Hanseatic cities of Rostock and Wismar are also recommended, as is a visit to Warnemünde. Schwerin and Güstrow offer beautiful castles, and Schwerin's lake district offers culture and sporting activities such as canoeing and sailing.
