The Wolayersee lake is considered to be Carinthia’s most beautiful and idyllic mountain lake. It is a popular hiking destination for many holidaymakers and locals. Located at 1,960 metres above sea level at the shore of the lake, the Wolayersee hut is open and serviced from mid-June to the beginning of October. An easy hiking trail takes you from Birnbaum to the hut through the Wolayertal valley.
