Attached to the hotel is a boutique, specialising in antiques and homemade specialities such as chutney, marmalades and oil.
Our hotel is an idyllic and romantic setting, ideal for wedding celebrations and other intimate functions. We can provide a delicious buffet or a meal with up to 7 courses for your event.
Room information
The very spacious rooms/suites are now cosily furnished with antiques and hung with original paintings. Each of the rooms individually shaped, but all with thoughtful attention to details and equipped with the necessary modern technology. They all offer a very comfortable sleep in box spring beds with oversized covers, convenient seating accommodation and a writing place.
A small fridge can be filled on demand, or by the guests themselves. A variety of interesting literature awaits for use. Most of the bathrooms offer a lot of space and have windows and all provide standard facilities.
Food & beverage
The hotel features two gastronomical facilities. One is a more relaxed grillroom-style self-service restaurant amongst the enchanting gardens, also creating a romantic environment for outdoor dining.
The other provides inventive cuisine, especially surf ’n' turfs, drawing diners from far away to Blauenthal. Chef Carsten Toelle revels in fresh ingredients, big flavours, mostly out of our own garden and imaginative combinations, much praised in guide books. Fish may even be locally caught and seafood is the speciality. Service is professional yet informal and friendly.
There are two rooms available for private parties for up to 80 people. The panelled dining rooms overlook the wonderful gardens. The garden facilities are also available for exclusive use - take it over for your own private party to celebrate a special occasion or just for a get-together with family and friends.
Area information
The hotel resort in the picturesque village of Blauenthal lies at the foot of mount Auersberg - 1019 metres. The beauty of the countryside with a romantic waterfall, a fishing river, miles of footpaths and nature trails all on our doorstep,make it ideal for exploring the surroundings.
A lot of museums and underground mining showrooms lie in the vicinity, and there are 3 lakes amidst the forests and within easy reach. Shooting, riding, climbing, hunting and golf are available, with certain courses on request.
By car you can reach Dresden in only 1¼ hours, and Zwickau or Chemnitz airports are just 35 minutes from here.
Travel information
Arrival by car from the south and southwest:
- Take the A9 motorway from Vogtlanddreieck onto the A72 motorway towards Plauen/Dresden.
- Take the exit for Reichenbach and drive towards Lengenfeld-Rodewisch, then on towards Aue.
- After Hundshuebel turn right. Drive towards Sosa until you reach Blauenthal.
Arrival by car from the east:
- Take the A72 motorway and exit at Stollberg West.
- After Aue drive towards Klingenthal.
- After Bockau drive towards Blauenthal.
Arrival by car from the north and west:
- At the Hermsdorfer Kreuz turn onto the BAB4 towards Dresden.
- Exit the motorway at Meerane.
- Drive towards Plauen until you come to the end of the town, then drive towards Klingenthal.
- After Burkhardtsgruen drive towards Sosa until you reach Blauenthal.
