Get active and take advantage of the hotel's own modern bowling alley. Bowling is great fun for all the family, or for groups of friends. Two lanes are available for an additional charge of EUR 15 per hour.

Room information

The ten quiet, comfortable hotel rooms are en suite with shower and toilet. Each room is equipped with telephone, separate telephone socket and TV. Free wireless LAN internet access is available in all the rooms. All rooms have complimentary coffee and tea making facilities.

Food & beverage

At our restaurant you enjoy a private atmosphere. The cuisine is home-made and offers our guests local as well as international specialities. For family celebrations and other events we offer particularly prepared menu suggestions. Our hall is suitable for up to 60 persons.

Area information

Between the Harz Mountains and the River Weser you find a charming countryside in the southern part of Lower Saxony, the ‘Ambergau’. From the well-known hills of Haarplage and Hainberg near the famous 'Fachwerkstrasse', the traveller will have an attractive and interesting view of the with meadows and forest enriched countryside. Bockenem, a medieval town with half-timber houses, historical buildings, old churches and beautiful parks, is located between Hildesheim and Seesen in the Harz region. The town even offers a heated public swimming pool for your enjoyment.

Travel information

Arrivla by car from the A7 motorway: - Take exit 65 for Bockenem and drive toward Bockenem. - After approximately 1 km turn right towards Hildesheim, towards the 243 federal highway. - After approximately 500 metres turn right into Bockenem. - Continue for 230 metres along Boennier Strasse and the Lange Burgstrasse. - Turn right into our car park.

Quick description

Our hotel is located alongside the famous ‘Fachwerkstrasse' and is a beautiful half-timbered house, which has been family-owned for over 100 years. In spite of improvements and redecorations the old wooden panels are still in their original state. The motorway A7 Hanover – Kassel provides fast connections to any place. From the exit of the motorway at Bockenem it is only a short way to the Hotel-Restaurant Kniep. The 'Hanover Fair' (EXPO 2000) can be reached from here by car conveniently in 30 minutes.
